Plot Synopsis
Shahida's (Harshaali Malhotra) mother takes Shahida to the shrine in Delhi, with the hope that it will restore Shahida's speech. Returning from Delhi, the train stops for repairs and Shahida gets off to save a lamb. Unbeknownst to Shahida, the train drives off. Shahida boards a freight train, and winds up in Kurukshetra. There, she meets Pawan Kumar Chaturvedi alias Bajrangi (Salman Khan), an ardent devotee of the Hindu deity Hanuman. He calls Shahida "Munni" and develops an unshakable bond with her. He tries to find where Munni is from and eventually realises that she is a Pakistani Muslim. Bajrangi makes arrangements to have her sent to Pakistan through the Pakistan Embassy, but because of political tensions and opposing religious views between India and Pakistan, his pleading fails. He decides to take Munni to her parents in Pakistan in person. Without a passport or visa, he gets caught by the Pakistan police who label him off as an Indian spy. Touched by Bajrangi's dedication and kindness, a Pakistani news reporter helps the duo to make the search. The broadcasted story results in thousands of voices from both sides of the border roaring in unison. Love and compassion, channeled by mass media, transcend nationality, race and boundary.
